This knife is Mike Stewart's personal design, combining all features he would like to see in a Bushcraft knife for an all-around user in the field. The Aurora is a substantial knife, but not too big to actually have with you for Bushcraft. You will find the handle comfortable for any size hand and well contoured for a sure-position grip. No matter how you hold it or how you pick it up the Aurora becomes an extension of your hand.

The Aurora is our Number two selling knife and our number one selling Bushcraft knife. The Aurora in CPM3V has been made at the request of Derrick & Wendy of KnivesShipFree.Com. The Crucible's CPM3V is a step up in Performance. 3V is the Toughest High Carbon Tool Steel used in knives and will hold it's edge longer than A-2 but is really not much more difficult to re-sharpen.

The Aurora is Skeletonized to reduce weight - Here is the Blade ready to be assembled.

The Handle Slabs on the Aurora are fastened with both Epoxy and Corby Bolts. The Stepped Corby Bolts make it virtually impossible to have the slabs come of in the hardest use.

Here is a Corby Bolt - the Slot is Ground Flush with the handle slab in finishing the knife.

Corby Bolts

Our convex grind will give you maximum cutting power and will easily baton through wood, carve wilderness necessities, field dress game, and handle all of your daily camp chores. The Aurora was field tested as a prototype for over a year before everything was finalized and put into production.

This Run of CPM3V Auroras is supplied with the KSF Leather Large Forest Sheath with Firesteel Loop.
