Most of you are familiar by now with the Bravo-1 Hard Use Knife that we designed with the help of Force Recon of the U.S. marines. The Standard Bravo-1 is made in A-2 Tool steel.

This Run is made from Crucible Steel's CPM 3V Powders Metal Super steel. CPM3V has more toughness than A-2 or any of the Stainless steels on the market. It has over twice the Edge holding of our A-2 but is not actually much more difficult to sharpen. For All intents and purposes, CPM3V seems to be the most Ideal Steel that can be used in a Hard use Non-Stainless Steel knife.

CPM3V is not prone to easy rusting or Staining because of it's Vanadium Content so it does not have to be babied in use. Just a quick wipe down when you are finished and you will be good to go.

Please Note that you will see some of the Field Knife Versions here in this Gallery.
The "Field Knife" version has no Ramp but does have the Traction Grooves in the flat of the spine.

This is the first time we have made the Bravo-1 in
Crucible Steel's CPM S35VN Stainless Steel Alloy.

CPM S35VN was designed to be the perfect blend of Stain Resistance, Toughness, Edge Stability and Edge Holding. It is like their earlier CPM S30v but has re-balanced its elemental make up and added Niobium for added grain refinement, strength and toughness.
CPM S35VN is tougher than S30V and most other Stainless alloys that are used in knifemaking.

We have added an External Lanyard Loop to this model. Here is a Close-Up of the Lanyard Extension. The CPM S35VN Version of the Bravo-1 will fit the needs of anyone that needs a rugged use in a Stainless Steel knife.

The New sheath for all Bravo-1s is Made for us by Great Lakes Leatherworks.
It has all of the features of the original Deluxe Sheath and is now standard.
