The Montana Guide is the Guardless Version of the Gameskeeper and the Montana Guide-II is the Guardless Version of the Gameskeeper-II. Those who prefer the "closer to centerline" feel of this classic style will really get the full effect on this large knife. The Difference does make the handle Longer on the Montana Guide because the hand is free to move up onto the Ricasso Area.
The elimination of the guard gives you almost a full extra inch of handle on the lower area of the knife. The Montana Guide shares the heavy spine and extended ricasso of the Gameskeeper. It also has the quick taper point. Jobs from fine scalpel like cutting to heavy joint splitting work are a natural for the Montana Guide.
Like the Gameskeeper the Montana Guide is a compact but heavy powerhouse for off the trail trips.
The Montana Guide and Montana Guide-II are not Standard Line items. We only offer them when we are running the Gameskeepers and Gameskeeper-IIs.
These are All Marked on the Right Facing of the Blade with Custom 2009.
